Deposits

The date of the event is considered “booked” upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit equalling 50% of the total value of the cake.

The final payment is due 7 days before the event. Final payment is required to release the cake for delivery/collection.

If the cake is booked 4 days or less before the event, the total cost of the cake is required.

If the Client fails to make payments, Correy's Cakes will stop work, the order will be cancelled and no refund will be given.

Preferred method of payment is a bank transfer.

 

Liability

Clients will be informed and asked to sign and confirm they have been notified of any inedible objects within the cake (eg structural elements) and as a result, Correy's Cakes holds no responsibility for damage caused by these items.

Correy's Cakes is not responsible for any damage to the cake once delivered or collected.

 

Fulfilment of Contract

Correy's Cakes is not responsible for any delay or inability to deliver based on anything out of our control, e.g. accidents, weather, traffic, etc.

If Correy's Cakes has completed the cake but it can’t be delivered due to uncontrollable circumstances, the Client will be refunded 50% of the total cost.

If Client picks up the cake, Correy's Cakes no longer assumes any responsibility for damage caused to it.

 

Postponement / Cancellation

The Client must notify Correy's Cakes if there is a change in the date of the event as soon as possible in writing/email.

 

Design of the Cake

Correy's Cakes will follow the Client’s requests as closely as possible to create the cake desired.

Correy's Cakes cannot duplicate an exact copy of another cake artist’s work but will ensure the look is similar.

Clients have two weeks before the delivery of the cake to change the design (cost depending). No changes can be made after this time. However, 30 days is required for wedding cakes.

I include one free sketch of the desired cake if necessary, should you need more than one there will be an additional charge of £5 per sketch.

 

Serving Amount & Sizes

The serving size is 1” wide x 2” long x 4” height for birthday/celebration cakes. For wedding cakes serving size is 1” wide x 1” long x 4” height.

Serving size estimations are not guaranteed to be exact.

Correy's Cakes is not responsible for a shortage of cake if the pieces are cut too large.

 

Allergy & Dietary Warnings

Correy's Cakes is not a nut-free environment. We will ensure a cake doesn’t unnecessarily come into contact with nuts, but cannot guarantee a nut-free option.

Natural dyes, artificial dyes, artificial flavourings, sugars, artificial sweeteners, artificial colours and other allergens are not listed and can be used in the making of the cake.

The Client is responsible for pointing out to guests potential allergy and inedible object hazards (eg dowels/skewers). Customers will be informed of allergens present in the cake before delivery.

 

Ornaments & Special Equipment

A deposit is required for all rental equipment (e.g. cake stands) and will be negotiated upon enquiry.

The equipment must be returned within 48 hours of the event.

The returned equipment is evaluated and a refund of the deposit is based on the condition of the items.

All personally supplied items must be submitted to Correy's Cakes at least 3 days before the event.

Delivery and Set-Up

Delivery is free to the surrounding area of High Wycombe. There is a delivery fee depending on mileage @ 50p per mile.

On-site setup if required will be charged at £10 per hour or part thereof.

The Client must sign a waiver to ensure the condition of the cake is satisfactory upon collection.

 

Photographs

Correy's Cakes reserves the right to use all photographs of the cake for advertising purposes.
